Less scrap from tool wear, with every adjustment approved by the operator: a prototype looking for its first partner

A lab prototype, not yet tested on a real machine: it combines part measurements, tool changes and CNC telemetry to suggest compensation, applied only with operator approval. We're looking for the first partner company for a pilot.

Not on sale yet. People on the waitlist hear about the launch first, with no obligation to buy.

NeuroCNC: overview

In short

A lab prototype, not yet tested on a real machine: it combines part measurements, tool changes and CNC telemetry to suggest compensation, applied only with operator approval. We're looking for the first partner company for a pilot. Built for high-volume machine shops with frequent measurement, auto-parts, compressor and motor component manufacturers with dimensional scrap and process engineering teams willing to run a co-funded pilot. It is not on sale yet and the waitlist is open; the entry offer starts at US$ 1,900.

01The problem

Parts drift out of tolerance from tool wear and thermal expansion; adjustments depend on an experienced operator, who is harder and harder to hire, and often come after the scrap.

02The solution

A measurement-based compensation assistant: it reads metrology results (CMM, gauges, in-machine probing), tool changes and, where the control allows, CNC telemetry; it shows the drift and suggests the offset. Rules limit each step and the cumulative correction, nothing reaches the machine without a person's approval and, at first, the operator types the offset in. Okuma, FANUC and Renishaw already offer compensation within their own ecosystems; our angle is combining measurement data with human approval across machines from different brands. Today it's a prototype: the edge architecture is sketched for Okuma controls (THINC API), the model hasn't been trained on real data yet, and Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls are on the roadmap, with no support so far.

03How it works

01Data diagnostic02Drift03Bounded suggestion04Operator approval
  1. Data diagnostic

We analyze measurements, tool changes and scrap for one part family.

  2. Drift

The assistant shows how each dimension drifts over time and with tool wear.

  3. Bounded suggestion

It suggests the offset, limited per step and in total.

  4. Operator approval

The operator approves and applies it; every adjustment is logged.

The highlighted step checks the result before anything moves on.

04What you gain

  • Measurement first. The suggestion comes from your parts' real dimensional drift.

  • Human control. Limits per step and cumulative, and nothing changes without the operator's approval.

  • Brand-neutral by design. Built around measurement data, not around a single CNC maker.

06What's included

  • Diagnostic of measurements, tool changes and scrap for one part family
  • Feasibility report with the measured drift and the expected gain
  • In the pilot: an assistant that suggests the offset, with per-step and cumulative limits and an approval screen
  • A log of every adjustment and process capability (Cpk) before and after

07Who it's for

  • High-volume machine shops with frequent measurement
  • Auto-parts, compressor and motor component manufacturers with dimensional scrap
  • Process engineering teams willing to run a co-funded pilot

09Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to start with NeuroCNC?

The “Machining data diagnostic” offer starts at US$ 1,900 and takes 3 weeks. Larger scopes are quoted in writing before work starts.

Does the AI change the machine on its own?

No. Every suggested adjustment goes through safety limits and needs the operator's approval; at first, the operator types the offset in.

Is it already running in a plant?

Not yet. It's a lab prototype that has never run on a real machine. We're looking for the first partner company, starting with a paid diagnostic of your machining data; the pilot itself is a custom quote agreed with that partner.

Don't Okuma, FANUC and Renishaw already do this?

Partly, within their own ecosystems: factory thermal compensation, offsets calculated by the gauge. Our proposal is to combine measurement data from machines of different brands, with human approval and a log of every adjustment. Fanuc and Mitsubishi controls are on the roadmap, not supported yet.
