CBAM emissions data your EU importer can use, with every number traced to a document

Embedded emissions per installation and per product, each number linked to its source document, ready for your EU importer and the CBAM verifier.

01The problem

Since January 2026, the carbon embedded in iron, steel, aluminum and some of their derivatives sold into the EU has become a cost for the EU importer. Without real, verified data from your installation, the importer falls back on default values, which tend to be higher, and starts preferring suppliers who deliver the data.

02How we solve it

AI reads energy bills, input invoices (scrap, pig iron, alloys, coke, gas) and lab reports; code calculates direct, indirect and precursor emissions per installation and per product; rules check the mass and energy balance, and every number points to its source document. The data is ready to publish in the operator module of the CBAM system and share with several importers at once. We prepare the data; verification is done by an accredited verifier.

03How it works

01Scope02Documents03Calculation04Evidence package
  1. Scope

We map which exported products fall under CBAM, by customs code.

  2. Documents

AI reads the installation's energy bills, input invoices and lab reports.

  3. Calculation

Code calculates emissions per product, and rules check the mass and energy balance.

  4. Evidence package

The data goes to the CBAM operator module and to the verifier, with the source of every number.

The highlighted step is the check: anything that fails the rules goes back for review instead of moving on.

04What changes in practice

  • Real values instead of defaults. Your importer pays for your actual emissions, not a conservative estimate.

  • Faster verification. Every number has a document behind it, which cuts the accredited verifier's work.

  • Publish once. The data is shared with all your importers through the CBAM operator module and updated every quarter.

05What you get

  • Map of exported products covered by CBAM
  • Installation emissions inventory with an evidence trail
  • Per-product calculation model, allocated from the ERP
  • Data entered in the operator module of the CBAM system
  • Document package for the accredited verifier
  • Quarterly update routine

06How the pilot works

Scope
One installation and one family of exported products
Timeline
4 to 8 weeks

What we measure

  • share of emissions backed by a document
  • difference from the default value (€ per tonne)
  • hours to update each quarter

Metrics are agreed before we start. With the numbers in hand, you decide whether to move to production.

09Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to prepare CBAM emissions data for one installation?

Every project is quoted after a free assessment, based on scope, volume and the systems involved. You get a fixed-price proposal in writing before any work starts.

How long does it take to get CBAM data ready for the verifier?

The pilot takes 4 to 8 weeks. Typical scope: one installation and one family of exported products.

Do you perform CBAM verification?

No. Verification can only be done by an accredited verifier. We prepare the data and evidence so verification is faster and cheaper.

Are my products covered by CBAM?

It depends on the customs code: iron, steel, aluminum and some derivatives are in scope; cast engine blocks, for example, are not today. The first step of the package is mapping your exported items.
