OEE and downtime reasons by shift, collected automatically, even from older machines

OEE and downtime reasons by shift, with PLC, HMI and CNC data collected automatically and integrated with your ERP, no manual production logging.

01The problem

The plant collects data but uses less than half of it; older machines don't talk to the ERP, and OEE is still calculated by hand at the end of the month.

02How we solve it

Data is collected from PLCs, HMIs and CNCs over OPC UA, MQTT or the logs the machine already writes, with retrofit sensors on older machines (installed by a partner integrator); OEE, downtime and reasons are calculated in code; data is integrated with the ERP; and a dashboard shows each shift. The collection engine is our PLC and HMI data collector product; this service covers the whole line, from the survey to the dashboard and the ERP integration.

03How it works

01Survey02Collection03OEE in code04Dashboard and ERP
  1. Survey

We map machines, controllers and the plant network, and the cheapest way to read each one.

  2. Collection

A gateway reads PLCs, HMIs and CNCs, or retrofit sensors on older machines.

  3. OEE in code

Availability, performance, quality and downtime reasons are calculated and validated.

  4. Dashboard and ERP

A shift dashboard goes live and the data flows into the ERP.

The highlighted step is the check: anything that fails the rules goes back for review instead of moving on.

04What changes in practice

  • Real OEE, not an estimate. Availability, performance and quality measured shift by shift.

  • Downtime with a reason. Every stop classified, so you know where to act first.

  • Older machines included. Retrofit sensors where there is no modern controller.

05What you get

  • Collection gateway installed on the plant network
  • Documented machine data model
  • OEE and downtime-reason dashboard by shift
  • ERP integration
  • Manual and training

06How the pilot works

Scope
3 to 5 machines on one line
Timeline
4 to 6 weeks

What we measure

  • measured vs. estimated OEE
  • downtime hours classified
  • manual logging time eliminated

Metrics are agreed before we start. With the numbers in hand, you decide whether to move to production.

07Pricing

Pricing

Pilot on one line from US$ 15,000, with a local integrator (estimate)

Billing: project plus a monthly fee per machine.

Every project is quoted in writing after a free assessment, in US dollars or euros.

Entry offer

09Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to measure OEE automatically on a production line?

Every project is quoted after a free assessment, based on scope, volume and the systems involved. To start with a fixed scope, the “OEE pilot on one line (3 to 5 machines)” offer starts at US$ 15,000 and takes 4 to 6 weeks. You get a fixed-price proposal in writing before any work starts.

How long does an OEE pilot take?

The pilot takes 4 to 6 weeks. Typical scope: 3 to 5 machines on one line.

How is this different from the PLC data collector?

The collector is our product that pulls the logs from the machine. This service uses the collector as its engine and delivers the whole line: survey, collection across several machines, OEE calculation, ERP integration and a shift dashboard.

Does it work on older machines without a modern PLC?

Yes, with retrofit sensors (current, vibration or cycle signal) installed by a partner integrator. The survey shows the cheapest path for each machine.
